Yes, we have too much stuff and we need to sell some of it. In response to me telling him about our day moving and how there is still stuff in the house to move. Ugh!
We just got back from going to the far noth side of the country through the moutains. We did clinic for only one day because the "four" hour drive turned into "eight" hours. So there were two days of driving to have clinic one day. We saw 545 patients yesterday. Half were pediatric patients. Of the adults we most commony saw high blood pressure, vaginal infections, worms, gastroenteritis, asthma/COPD, acid reflux, rashes, malnutrition, and pain. With kids we saw malnutrition, various infections, worms, and ringworm rash from head to toe. It is so sad to see the sick kids. It was the pictures like you see on the TV infomercials. Mrs B took charge of entertaining the well and sick children with games, crafts, balloon animals, and songs. Parents said they have never seen anything like it. The childern were smiling from ear to ear.
The area we did this clinic was not affected by the earthquake but was dirt poor.
Every city here smells like poop, they don't have real sewers. They use the bathroom in the storm drains open to air. The people just throw their trash in the street or the sewer/storm drain. The people have a good heart but don't know better. Its so sad.
They don't care much for animals. On the way there our driver would not slow down or scoot over for a skinny dog. He just ran it over. The dog screamed so loud. The girls on the bus strarted crying I used the lords name in vain. We were so upset.
I understand that there are people going hungry so why do the dogs matter, but why don't they just put them out of misery.
They are wanting me to help out with building bunk beds. And there are many people wanting to get on the computer.
Tomorrow we are going to a large orphanage in town and doing a clinic. We should see about 600 kids.
We leave Friday morning at 9:30 am to fly to Miami.
